On December 16, the First Meeting of REG’s Advisory Board was held in Moscow.
The Advisory Board includes Dr. Naira Sargsyan, Strategic Information Adviser, UNAIDS, Senior Public Health expert with more than 25 years of experience in the fields of HIV/AIDS, Dr. Anastasia Pokrovskaya, M.D. Ph. D, an infectious disease physician, senior researcher, head of the Group for Clinical and Dispensary Observation at the AIDS Clinical Diagnostic Department at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology (the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare), Shakhnoz (Yekaterina) Yusupova,MPH, expert in Doctors Without Borders (Netherlands) in the Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus, international development specialist with over 20 years of experience in advocacy, policy dialogue, civil society leadership development, and Ekaterina Ivashchenko, journalist, an expert in the Central Asian region; as a correspondent for the “Fergana” news agency in Central Asia, traveled across and explored all countries in the region with the exception of Turkmenistan; she has written over 200 articles about the life and challenges of migrants from Central Asian countries in Russia.
During the meeting, REG strategic development was discussed, as well as areas of future work and agenda of upcoming events. Also, in the framework of the meeting, new individual REG members was approved for membership. To date, 46 experts from 17 countries have joined the Expert Group.To learn more about Membership in REG
