We warmly invite you to join our interactive workshop “Building Community Networks for Sustained HIV Care Among Migrants and Refugees” at the Global Village during the conference in Rio de Janeiro. The session will focus on community‑led and transnational approaches that ensure continuity of HIV care for migrants and refugees across countries of origin, transit and destination.

The workshop will bring together practical experiences from different regions:
- Emergency response and refugee‑led community solidarity for continuity of HIV care (HelpNowHUB Foundation, Poland)
- Telemedicine and international cooperation for uninterrupted ART among Tajik migrants (Republican AIDS Center, Tajikistan)
- Barriers and pathways to healthcare for Ukrainian migrants in Germany (100%Life, Germany)
- Community‑driven approaches to expand HIV testing accessibility among African migrants in Europe (Noaks Ark Mosaik, Sweden)
- Migrant communities’ navigation of healthcare systems in Latin America and remaining challenges (CeSGI / WHO/PAHO Collaborating Center, Chile)
Using briefcase presentations, small‑group work and facilitated discussion, participants will map migrant care pathways, identify barriers and community solutions, and co‑design cross‑border referral and peer‑support models relevant to their own contexts. The session is particularly suited to activists, advocates, community practitioners, social and behavioural science researchers, and health providers working with mobile and displaced populations.
